February's Love 

Love.  February is the month of love.  Ooey, gooey, chocolate and roses kind of love. 

Don’t get me wrong.  I appreciate going out to dinner and getting a present.  I like feeling special.  But true love isn’t about romance and fluttery feelings.

God does not leave us alone in our sorrow 

In light of the tragedy at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church last night, I am reminded that we live in a fallen world.  Was this act racially motivated?  Maybe.  But I know that racism is just one more tool that Satan uses to cause a divide, a rift, between God and humans.  This young man did not just kill black people.  He did not just kill Christians.  He killed humans—God’s creations.  He committed an act that was perpetrated by the ruler of this world.

Memories.  What do you remember?  Are they your memories or are they the memories that others have told you about?

I believe that we are defined by our experiences in life.  Some of those experiences, however, are overshadowed by how we remember the event.  Or how someone else has told us the event occurred.

From Chaos to trusting Jesus
